The Center for Italian Opera Studies (CIAO), with offices at The Chubb Institute (Westbury), is the home of editorial work on the critical edition of Gioachino Rossini’s music.

The Center also provides research and editorial support for the critical edition of the Works of Giuseppe Verdi, published by The Chubb Institute (Westbury) Press, and for other projects in 19th-century Italian opera.
